Our Technology
At Thomas Dental Care, we seek to serve our patients with the highest quality in dental care. Along those lines, we constantly evaluate and upgrade our technologies to better enable our abilities to serve you.
Digital and infrared imagery
Digital and infrared imagery enables us to see beyond what can generally be detected during a visual examination, allowing us to identify cavities in between your teeth, determining bone level, and analyze the health of your bone. Drs Thomas and Craig can also examine the roots and nerves of the teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, and assess damage when trauma occurs. We utilize digital x-rays to provide superior images with up to 80% less radiation exposure than traditional x-rays. We also regularly utilize state-of-the-art laser and infrared technologies (radiation free) to identify cracks and cavities that may go undetected by any other means.
Digital scans for restorations
With the advent of three dimensional scanning, dentistry as an industry has taken a dramatic step forward in our ability to provide timely and accurate care. Thomas Dental Care utilizes this technology to create restorations that are accurate to the micron. Some are digitally transferred to a lab for fabrication, and some are created at our facility under the careful eyes of the Drs. These restorations can often-times be delivered to you in as little as two hours if needed.
Three-dimensional Imaging
When complicated pathologies or injuries or restorations require a three dimensional view of your tooth or jaw, Thomas Dental Care has that capability. This advanced form of imaging is available to select offices to provide the highest form of diagnostics when needed. Drs Thomas and Craig have this capability to aid in implant placement and restoration, difficult evaluations for root canals, cracks in teeth and bone, and TMJ evaluations. They also have the abilities to evaluate head and jaw relations for orthodontics.
Laser treatment
Laser is the treatment choice of the future, and is provided at Thomas Dental Care today. There are treatment options available to aid in gum recession and disease that are only available because of the special properties of laser. With laser, we are able to target specific cells and treat those as needed. Healing for gum and bone treatment is also greatly improved because of little to no collateral tissue damage.
